So Proud!!

So many reasons to be proud to shoot this sweet couple!!  Proud of sweet Jack for finding a man that makes her happy, makes her stronger and makes her wiser.  Proud to get to know Joe, with his kind heart and selfless service.  Proud that I get to be with them on their big day.  Hope the day gets here quickly because the sooner it gets here, the sooner he is home.  Love you both!!

The designer and the Dancer

Tracy & Holly were a long time coming, but the wait was worth it!!  The designer and the dancer know how to put on a gorgeous party and party they did.  Lomas Santa Fe Golf Course was a beautiful venue that had so many beautiful and fun locations for their style and spunk.  The dress on Holly was to die for, but only a dancer could get away with the way it hugged her.  She looked like a amazing and he was so proud to be at her side.  Congratulations…I love and adore you both!!

A Crystal Clear Day

Hunter and Paige wanted to have a destination wedding of sorts, but still be close enough to have some family and friends join them.  The Newport Beach Temple and the Beachcomber Crystal Cove turned out to be the perfect location for them, but we also had to steal a few minutes out of the day for some beautiful images at the Mission San Juan Capistrano.  Thankfully the weather was crystal clear all day for their seaside celebration.  These are two of the most remarkable families I have met as a wedding photographer and I am so excited for their future together.  I love and adore you all!!  Congratulations.

No Excuses!

I have no excuse for being fairly lazy online over the last year and half.  I don’t know about you, but I started feeling burned out by all of the constant in my face social media.  I kind of needed a break and I’ll be honest, it has felt good to not worry about Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, etc. for a little while.  I am going to try updating over the next couple of months, but I also want to start adding little photo helps from my Basic Training class that I have taught over the years.  My goal is to get everyone with a good camera off of the green box (automatic) and starting learning how to control their cameras.  If you spend money on a great camera and leave it on automatic, you might as well have a point and shoot camera, so I am going to try to shrink my long winded stories and thoughts into quick tidbits and share…hope you don’t mind!!

Having a teenager has reminded me of my constant excitement for photography, so I want to make more of an effort and take more time to teach her and her friends about capturing the world from their view.  I was lucky enough to grow-up in a wonderful studio where I learned everyday, although I wish I had listened more and asked more questions, but I still absorbed so much from my kind and brilliant friend and mentor Reese Christensen.  So, when you start seeing tidbits from my Basic Training enjoy them or ignore them, but either way, I want to be sure to share the knowledge that was always so kindly shared with me.  I LOVE this incredible talent I have spent most of my life learning and I hope you have something in your life you love as much!!

Eric + Victoria

I love it when you sit down with a couple and you know from the first moment that they have it.  Whatever “it” may be…but they and their families are all so kind, thoughtful, caring, etc. that it is such a privilege to be able to work for them.  I can’t say enough about how easy it was to shoot Eric and Victoria’s wedding at the Dove Canyon Courtyard because they were willing and excited to go along with me, even if it meant hiking down the horse path just to get to the water falls.

Thank you for letting me share in your day.  You are both amazing.  Excited to know you as clients and now as neighbors!!

Thank to Design Visage for your amazing work on Victoria’s hair and make-up.  You are truly exceptional.
