As a child of the 80’s I have a lot of images and sounds that conjure up emotions and feelings of being a child, but the images of “MY” President, Ronald Reagan has a way of bringing back very strong emotions of pride. Pride to be an American, pride to be a part of an amazing time in life… So when I was offered the opportunity to spend a few days shooting for the Reagan Foundation at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, I jumped at it!! They were hosting an event for Karl Rove who was speaking and promoting his book “Courage and Consequence”.

The students are given job titles, such as United States President, Speaker of the House, etc. and then they are able to re-enact these jobs in a mini-press room, trips on a small version of Air Force, etc.
I was totally jealous…why didn’t we get that kind of opportunity at my school when I was a kid!!
