Martha’s Bridals – San Juan Capistrano Mission

After being soo far behind on blogging, I wanted to catch up with one of my favorite shoots from this last year.  Martha had her mind set on the Mission in San Juan Capistrano for her bridal shoot, which I am ALWAYS happy to oblige!  The Mission has so many locations to shoot that you actually run out of time, before you run out of things to capture.  Martha is truly beautiful in every way and I almost fell over when she came out dressed in her amazing dress from Blush Bridal Couture.  It fit her and her personality perfectly.  Thank you to Anna & Amy for making this dress happen for her, because it was her dream come true.  I knew Martha was going to be fun to shoot, but I didn’t expect how comfortable she could be herself in front of the camera, the way she did.  We had so much FUN together!!  Martha, you are absolutely stunning and I am so excited for you and Christopher.  Remind him every day how lucky he is to have you!!!

Brad + Krystina – Air Force West Wedding

I know I always say that I adore my brides, BUT I am starting to think that I am just a really lucky photographer.  I can’t explain how grateful I feel when a bride is just completely genuine, kind, hilarious and patient.  Nothing seems to ruffle the feathers of Krystina and Brad.  There were more than enough reasons for Krystina to become the crazy bride, but instead I had the opportunity to watch her CHOOSE to enjoy both the crazy moments and the tender moments.  She actually made sure that everyone else was calm and happy.  We were pushed to the limits for time, but as you can tell…we made the best of it!!  Thank you again Brad and Krystina for letting be part of this amazing day.  AND yes…I want your love story so we can feature it here soon.

I am so grateful to my better half of the day…Karen Revelle, for catching this amazing shot at sunset!!  LOVE IT!!

Chris + Martha – Newport Beach Engagements

I was so excited to shoot engagements for Chris and Martha.  They knew exactly where they wanted to do this E-shoot, because they enjoy every minute they can together here in this Newport Beach area.  Whether it is on a paddleboard, surfboard, bikes, walking their dog or just sitting watching the sun go down.  They are darling together and so ready for their big day.  I can’t wait to share it with them, it will be amazing.  I love you both…and you little dog too!!

Sean + Cassie – Jones Victorian Estate

I love shooting brides, but there is something so stunning about a red headed bride.  I may be a bit biased because my mother is a red head.  I always seem to capture the most classic beauty in the portraits with my red headed brides.  Not only is Cassie beautiful, she has the greatest sense of humor and quick wit.  Her sister used to tease her that she was the milk man’s child, but when you see this amazing family together you quickly see where she gets her beauty and her wit.  She was born with her mother’s beauty and her father’s quick wit.  The whole family was so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera and you can quickly tell how hilarious they are by flipping through a few of their wedding images.

Sean is a twin and I have to apologize for mixing up him and his brother over and over again.  The vest color should have been an obvious sign, but I just kept mixing them up.  I also have to admit that cried…yes I cried at their wedding.  Sean’s father is such a gentle giant and reminded me so much of my uncle.  His kind a gracious way of loving and caring for his wife and family stopped me in my tracks during the mother/groom dance.  The tears just came without warning.

I hope Sean and Cassie will forever remember this beautiful day.  They chose the Jones Victorian Estate to celebrate their big day and what a fantastic choice it was!!  This venue is such an amazing little gem.  Michelle, Jones Victorian coordinator, makes everyone feel like instant family.  The atmosphere, food and service was spot on as always!!  Allie at Flower Allie also did an amazing bringing the emotion and feel for the day with her stunning arrangements.  A beautiful day for a wonderful couple.  Thank you for letting me share with you both.

Love this family…they were AMAZING!!

Good Luck Coach!!

So, I haven’t blogged in quite a long time, so I should be posting work rather than personal, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the spirit of the Olympic Games and I would give up almost anything to be in London for the next few weeks!!   I may not be talented enough to get to the games myself, but we had to give a BIG shout out to our  amazing neighbor & Olympic volleyball coach this week.  We wanted him to know of our love and support, so with all the neighborhood kids, we decided to make posters for him before he left for the games.  As parents, we want to get the kids connected with the London games and realize that their friend and neighbor is there and we are here cheering him and his team on.

Good Luck USA Women’s Volleyball… Go 4 the Gold!!!

 Good Luck Hugh…from all of us in the ‘hood!!
